From the man who feels no cold, to the amazing power of women's hair, this is the 14 CRAZIEST Human Achievements ! # 9 Philippe Petit Walks a Thin Line Philippe Petit went down in history for his death-defying stunt. He is legendary for his tightrope walk that took place 1,350 feet in the air, from one of the World Trade Center towers to the other in New York City. Petit not only walked across the thin rope, but he also danced, knelt, laid down, and even saluted to the crowds below. # 8 Fastest 100 m on All Fours Kenichi Ito also described as “the monkey man,” broke the world record for a relatively strange, but still pretty impressive athletic achievement. Ito ran the fastest 100-meter dash ...on all fours. Ito ran the 100 meters in just 15.71 seconds wearing running shoes and a pair of gloves. Ito apparently spent nine years studying how animals like monkeys move, and spent his time on the clock as a custodian, mopping on all fours. All of this work has apparently paid off. # 7 Largest Freefall Formation Falling from a large height and surviving is already a feat in itself since we as humans are really not designed to survive things like that. Falling from extreme heights on purpose and doing sick tricks is an even greater feat. Doing all of these things in tandem with 357 total skydivers and creating a pattern as you plummet 10,000 feet to the ground is worth of a world record. That’s exactly what these humans did above Takli Airbase, Thailand in February 2004. # 6 Alain Robert is a Real-Life Spiderman Alain Robert has made a name for himself as a daredevil by scaling the world’s tallest skyscrapers such as the Eiffel Tower, the Sydney Opera House, and the New York Times Building. He did all of this using a method called free climbing, which means he had no equipment except for a bag of chalk and some climbing shoes. In 2012 he climbed the absolute tallest skyscraper on Earth, the Burj Khalifa in the UAE in just over an hour and a half. It’s easy to see why people call him the “French Spiderman”. # 5 Most T-shirts worn at Once Jef Van Dijck went for a world record by trying to put on as many different shirts as he could at the same time. He managed to achieve the title of Most Shirts Worn At The Same Time at an event organized by Unizo in Brecht, Belgium. Dijck managed to stick 227 shirts on his body at once. # 4 Felix Baumgartner Dives from The Edge of Space Austrian skydiver Felix Baumgartner pushed the envelope of skydiving in 2012 when he teamed up with Red Bull to free fall from the stratosphere, or approximately 24 miles up into the sky. The fall took approximately 10 minutes, during which Baumgartner broke the sound barrier, being the first human to do so without the assistance of an engine and commemorated the 65 year anniversary of Chuck Yeager breaking the sound barrier in a piloted aircraft. # 3 Jadav “Molai” Payeng Plants a Forest A forest in India called the Molai Forest, has an interesting origin. Jadav “Molai” Payeng, an Indian environmental activist and forestry worker singlehandedly slowly turned a desolated sandbar of the Brahmaputra River into a lush forest reserve. Over the course of 30 years, he planted seeds in an area that encompasses 1,360 acres. Molai Forest now houses Bengal tigers, Indian Rhinos, deer, rabbits, apes, vultures, and even has a herd of elephants that visit it every year. # 2 Christian Stangl Christian Stangl is a pro mountaineer who has achieved a feat of epic proportions. Stangl has climbed the Triple Seven Summits, the three highest mountains on each of the seven continents on Earth for a total of 21 peaks climbed. The 50-year-old climber has climbed mountains like Mount Everest, Denali, and Kibo. Not only that but he has scaled all of these mountains in record time with combined time of fewer than 60 hours. # 1 Anastasia IV’s Ultra Powerful Hair Joanna Sawicka, better known by her stage name as Anastasia IV, has some seriously killer hair. She practices the art of hair hanging, an aerial circus performance that, as you might guess, involves hanging onto rigs by the hair on your head. Anastasia IV has hair so strong she’s capable of pulling a four-ton car with it. This isn’t easy, though; maintenance requires conditioning it five times a day. And while this is truly a feat of strength, Anastasia admits that the pain of being pulled by your hair never completely goes away. Which of these human achievements do you think was the craziest?
