17 Amazing people who do the unbelievable from insane free falling stuntmen to the amazing Houdini & his crazy escape stunts Subscribe to Talltanic http://goo.gl/wgfvrr 11 - Free Falling… The late Dar Robinson was an incredible stunt man. He broke 19 world records and also set 21 new ones! For the movie, Sharky’s Machine, Robinson jumped out of a 220ft hotel window. It was filmed during the 80’s, and Robinson held the record for highest free fall for ages. He died while filming Million Dollar Mystery. 10 - Some Like It Hot… A more unusual stunt, is this one done by daredevil Cemre Candar. He decided to have a bath in 1250 bottle of hot sauce. He plunged his body into the tub, ate some of the chilis and dipped his head into the hot sauce. Every single crevice of his body was on fire, his skin became red and blotchy and he said it hurt for a few days after! 9 - Achieving the unachievable... It was May the 20th 1999, when Robbie Knievel managed to do something that even his father wasn’t able to accomplish – jumping over the Grand Canyon on his bike. He cleared 228-feet, and broke his leg on landing. I’m sure his dad was super proud! 8 - Chickened out… You might recognize the name Paul Rosolie, the naturalist who attempted to be eaten by a snake whilst filming it. The 27-year old, along with a team of 10, headed to the Amazon in search of a 20-ft long Anaconda. He wore a black armored suit, covered himself in pig blood and advanced towards the Anaconda. The snake pounced on him, and latched on to his head. He said he felt his arm being broken, and called his team to rescue him. People on social media expressed grave disappointment at the lack of a show, to which Rosolie responded by saying he was just doing it to raise money to save the natural habitat of the snake. 7 - Paris is always a good idea… Although, perhaps this stunt – not so much! It was 1923, when Pierre Labric decided it was a great idea to ride his bicycle down the stairs of the Eiffel Tower. He started from the top, and headed all the way down – with no regard for the people on the stairwell. No one knows why he did it, and all we have are stories and some old photographs. 6 - Quickly becoming a household name… Oleg Cricket is an extreme sportsman who performs the most frightening and mind blowing stunts, that are garnering him a lot of online attention. He has done a hand stand on a teeny platform right at the top of the Cayan Tower in Dubai – which is over 1000-feet tall. He slid down the roof of a skyscraper and has dangled precariously from the tallest cranes available to him. He says he likes heights, and he also likes giving us a new view of the cities he is in. 5 - Time consuming... We head back to the silent movie era, and meet Harold Lloyd. His claim to fame was always performing a dangerous stunt in each of his movies. One of his more famous ones, was hanging from the second hand off a clock tower, holding on with just his fingertips. 4 - Don’t try this at home… This daredevil did something completely crazy! He stands on the train tracks, waiting patiently for the next train. Literally seconds before the train would hit him, he lies flat on his stomach whilst the train rushes over him. He then stands up, checks for injuries, takes his camera and leaves. 3 - I’m just a skater boy… Over in California, a skateboard 12 times the size of a regular skateboard, has been designed. It broke the world record for largest skateboard! And I am sure the world record for the most number of people on a board at once. With nothing holding this skateboard back, people hopped on and went freewheeling down the hills. This stunt was just a whole lot of fun, not only for the boarders but spectators as well. 2 - A tragic end… This is one stunt that went horribly wrong. Sailendra Nath Roy had already set a world record for travelling the longest distance on a zip line using his hair alone! He tried to recreate the stunt, but unfortunately he passed away during his attempt. About half way across, his hair became tangled into the wheeler. As the stunt was performed illegally, there were no emergency staff there to help him. He dangled for about 25 minutes before he could be brought down, but died due to a heart attack. 1 - Snakes Alive… The boys from Jackass held a stunt whereby 2 giant anacondas were placed into a ball pit. In the process of trying to catch the snakes, the guys get bitten pretty badly. They did have a little protection, like cups in the nether regions and electric tape around the wrists – but despite that, there were a few hairy moments!
