Dubai, 2 brothers, 2 weeks, 4 countries, 5 cities, and 8 flights | South East Asia | GoPro

Last summer we traveled to Southeast Asia and we had the best time of our lives. We had 2 weeks vacation and we wanted to visit as many places we could. We went to 5 cities (Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta, and Bali) in 4 countries. We met a lot of people and we learned so much about different cultures. First stop was Dubai. We purposely booked a flight that landed in Dubai around 7:45 am while our connecting flight to Kuala Lumpur was scheduled to depart at 10pm. We did this in purpose so that we could have the maximum of day hours as possible. Even counting with airport times, this gave us a good 10 hours to explore the city, but most importantly catch up with childhood friends. Beside the ridiculous humid and hot weather, Dubai was so BEAUTIFUL. Although, I wouldn't recommend you EVER to visit during the summer. Second stop was Kuala lumpur, one of the best and unique cities we have visited so far. One of Asia's busiest, developed, liveliest metropolises. Third stop was Singapore. This country, or city-state to be more accurate, is really awe-inspiring! The safest, cleanest and most developed place I've ever been. So well-organized, and so well-planned. There is a LOT to do in Singapore, and we were able to do a large part in only 3 nights. There is an incredible emphasis on architecture, which is by far the most astonishing manifestation of modern that I've ever seen. Fourth stop was Jakarta. The largest, most populous, chaotic, bustling, vibrant and busy destination we have ever been. We stayed at an Airbnb only for one night (2 days) --before our next flight to Bali -- in the core of Jakarta. We were still able to get a taste of the delicious Indonesian food and culture which was present on every single corner throughout the city. Overall, it was a rewarding, unique and authentic experience. Last but not least Bali. Currently is the best beach destination We have ever visited. Our trip to Bali, so called "heaven island" experience is something that cannot be explained by words, it’s a cultural and spiritual journey that needs to be experienced in order to be understood. There a LOT to be done in Bali.
