Over 100 business associates and stakeholders from Azerbaijan’s private and public sectors attended the Networking Reception organised by Dubai Chamber Representative Office in Azerbaijan recently. The B2B event was held at Kempinski Hotel Badamdar in the Azeri capital Baku. Mr. Omar Khan, Director, International Offices, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, welcomed the participants and spoke of the Chamber’s strategic ProDubai initiative, which includes expanding its international presence in key markets of the CIS, Asia, and Africa to promote Dubai as a world-class international business hub. Mr. Khan stated that Baku was the chosen destination for the Chamber’s first international office and is an important gateway for Dubai businesses to the wider CIS region. Since opening its doors in November 2012, the Baku office has been extremely active in organising events, seminars and roundtables to promote bilateral economic and business ties between Dubai traders and their Azeri counterparts.
