When the words cheap and inexpensive are thrown around, people may be a bit skeptical as to what they are applied to. You know what they say - "you get what you pay for". While this is normally a justified position, price does not necessarily imply quality. This is especially true when it comes to choosing a place to live. There are a great number of variables that goes into calculating the value of a place; from a city's policies to a city's urban design. These variables make delineating value from a city a little complex. However, thanks to the Economist's Intelligence Unit report, there is a list available ranking the top 25 of the world's cheapest places to live. Now the question is, would you live in any of these places?

I've been to Panama City many times. It is not cheap. The only way to consider it cheap is shopping for modern electronics or clothes cheaper than other countries in Central or South America. As far as shopping for new stuff, the US is very hard to beat.

New Delhi and Mumbai aren't cheap. Kathmandu is cheap only to eat and travel but if you plan to move there it's really expensive and all the expats complain about that.

You r right Karachi is inexpensive city to live for those who can afford, it is cheaper if u convert dollar, pounds, euro or Swiss franc in pak rupee. 2 bad rooms apartment cost 50000-70000 dollars. I live in Switzerland and whenever I convert franc in rupee I buy hell lot of things from there 😊

IF Kiev, Bucharest, and Sofia made the list, certainly Chisinau, MD should have been in the mix, It is also in the center of all 3. Very inexpensive to live and retire. A Large influx of international businesses and IT. But that's OK, it is better kept a secret to keep out all those undesirables. :)

The most cheapest city is Tashkent, Uzbekistan, a beautiful city with nice people,we used pay for 3 bedroom apartment complete $35 per month
