Hello & Welcome to Harnetty Railways Coming up we race once again David Smith's 46115 Scots Guardsman but this time on the 85 miles stretch Chester along the North Wales Coast to Holyhead. Originally intended to be hauled by Chris Beet's jubilee 45690 Leander but sadly she was unfit to run so 46115 stud in. We start at Chester were we see the scot being prepared after staying in Chester overnight. The scot was waiting to take over from Diesels which was bringing The Railway Touring Company's North Wales Coast Express from Crewe. This was the 2nd attempt for the scot to go down the north wales coast on this train as we all knew what happened on the previous attempt a few weeks ago. We leave Chester to head up to 1 of my favorite line side spots along the coast Abergele & Pensarn the winds didn't help the filming but I did the best I could. We 1st see the scot on the tour racing along the long stretch on the approach to the station on the footbridge as the scot sped past. We next catch up with 46115 at Bangor the last major station before Holyhead pulling in for a pathing stop before setting off again. We next see him at the tour's destination Holyhead were we see the scot take on water before heading off to Valley to get turned we have exclusive cab access to the loco before setting off. We head off to the bridge over looking the water tower and the part of the 1 in 75 climb out of Holyhead station. We see the scot reversing back to the station before later on we see the scot depart back for Chester in grand style. We end this video were we began at Chester were we see the scot arriving here the scot was uncoupled from the train and head off to serviced before returning to Carnforth WCRC.
