The third sequel of this game proves different about the parents, but they are in peril though.

Dark Parables is one of the best game series ever if youever get the chance make sure to play it! Also there are twomore games in this series The Skyward Castle and The Sunhook Spire.

This game does have a Prince, it's you Michael, you see, by playing this game, you awaken the Princess and "rescue" her by playing the game from start to end, hahaha :P

ONLY YOU could put some comedy it this game. I'm not saying that this is a bad game, it just needs more humor, since it is a fairytale, and you are just the man for the job, Michel!

I think it is explained somewhat later in the game but yeah she was pretty much under a magical dreamless sleep spell.

When I saw a movie with the same thing (someone magically separated from their family until the whole family died), I consoled myself with the thought that after a few centuries it wouldn't hurt as much. I mean, when that enchanted character found out about his family, he'd been enchanted for 300 years; kind of pointless to sulk about it.

this was one of the first mystery games i ever played and this game in the awakening series was defenitly my favorite.
