Project Surf Safe is a simple idea of a series of videos in Chinese, Arabic and Japanese that outline the basic rules of Australian Beach Safety. Our objective is to makes these videos accessible to as many International tourists as possible using modern technology and social networking. By using modern technology we can take advantage of QR codes which can now be easily scanned with the use of a free smart phone application. We decided to pursue this idea, because we are located on the Gold Coast which is a major Australian tourist location, it is our hope that with the use of Project Surf Safe Australian beaches will become a more safe and enjoyable place for international visitors.
