Bu Qtair is perhaps the only restaurant in Dubai that hasn't changed over the years despite it's soaring popularity and it's enormous media publicity in recent times - small shack in the unexpected of places - on Jumeirah beach, serving lip smacking fried fish. The charm of Bu Qtair lie in the contradiction in it's location - the sudden discovery of a modest portacabin selling fried fresh fish on the beach with the 7-star hotel Burj Al Arab as a backdrop. Fish shack on a beach is not a novel concept for sure but definitely it is for a city like Dubai, that too in the poshest of posh Jumeirah beach. very dirty place, expensive food, service is very bad and you don't feel a different taste than a usual fish fry.

i know this place from early 90s.there was a fishermans village.

Nice food, but place is very dirty. They don't even wash the dishes properly, only rinse them then use them again for another customer. They also charge the western customers much more compared to the sub continentals.

very bad restaurant the shrimps is not fresh and no test the fish is old you cant see it because its coverd with spicy very bad service and the price is very expnsive i dont like it very bad experiance

I've been to a lot of really nice resto's in dubai and abu dhabi. But this place was the most memorable of them all. Thank you for uploading. You just made my day.
