Maybe its just an innocent architectural homage, and I hope so... but you have to consider how much western money is flowing in and out of Dubai, not to mention the US bases. Dubai is advertised here in the states as this exotic getaway where you can live out your every fantasy. It's the sin city of the middle east... Not saying it actually is, but thats how its portrayed. then to see this...
