Dubai, Burj Khalifa (Burj Dubai) from the 155th floor

quick video i took whilst on the 155th floor of the burj khalifa/dubai whilst still in construction, which is equivalent to being roughly around 590m up. It was unfortunate that the day i went up was quite hazy, and i didn't have much time to record either, so this is all I could come up with. At the time of the video, the Burj Dubai had reached the 157th floor, which is where it will stay for a while as from there the actual frame of the building becomes all steel and not concrete (due to the last 200m or so of the building not actually going to be inhabitable, it's merely there to make the building taller). Enjoy.

Thanks for the description! May I know how come you went up there? You're in the construction business? Super interesting video, thanks for posting!

Burj Khalifa is 163 stories.

I felt adrenalin rush through my stomach when it was looking directly down to the ground. That is so fucking high its sick.
-
the whole place look so disproportioned only a few tall buildings and the rest are just flats.
-
I was thrilled just watching this video

This American likes Dubai. I say 24th century city. I love all the new highrises both tall and modern.
-
This building is truely amazing. It really puts the rest of the world to shame. I hope to see this building before I die.
-
This building is more higher than that. That time it was in the making.
-
The last 600 feet are made of steel and nobody will live/work in that part, just to make the building taller. Well I call that cheating.
-
@bigtank2185 omg me :D! I Don't mind looking down, just when I look up to see what is there and that it's all human made and not safe >.< I done that with the eiffiel tower in 2nd floor, my legs wabbled

That is just the height when a plane is about to land. Planes fly 5 times higher than that.
-
@compsciguy Make's great sense! :)
-
@ECHOCHROMATIC Why build something this tall? Because the world is overpopulated, and we are running out of living space, so instead of going in all directions of the flat compass, which will run out of land quickly, they move UPWARD toward the sky. Make sense?
