Where to welcome 2017 in style With record-breaking fireworks and spectacular parties on rooftops and marina yachts, the city of Dubai becomes one big celebration for New Year’s Eve. Gather on the footsteps of the world’s tallest building, book your tickets to a Palm Jumeirah ball or attend a magical garden soiree, but don’t miss the clock striking twelve in Dubai. Here are nine ways to greet 2017. Beachside glamour at Atlantis, The Palm For a regal treat, make your way to the Royal Gala on Atlantis, The Palm, where the beach transforms into a lively party, complete with 30-piece band, exclusive food and drink (lobster and caviar, of course!) and unmatched views of the glittering Dubai cityscape. Ladies, bring out your finest evening dresses; gents, make sure to dress your best. Festivities begin at 7:30pm and continue through the early hours of 2017. Dubai loves a fireworks routine, and on National Day The Beach opposite JBR will be lit up with a huge 45th anniversary of the Union display (we’re expecting a lot of green and red in the sky). The fireworks start at 8.30pm, but it’ll get busy, so get down there early and make an evening of it if you plan on attempting to park there.
