Please read the description before you judge me... https://www.joel-eggimann.com There might be a big attention for content where they climb up cranes and buildings. But that’s not the reason why I do stuff like this! Since I was a kid I liked to climb on trees or big boulders. Being above someone is such a great feeling. You can sit on the edge of a building and watch the people below you. Barley no one looks up and sees you. This shows that most of the people go straight through life and they don’t even look around to see what happens in life. I don’t feel like I’m the boss when I’m walking over rooftops or I don’t get adrenaline climbing along a crane. It’s the feeling of pure freedom I get when I’m on the top. It’s just you and your body. You’re standing somewhere where not a lot of people can go to and often you also get a great view over the city. Of course it can be dangerous to climb on high stuff. But what is not dangerous? People consider something as dangerous when they don’t know it. We are afraid of what we don’t understand and for many our motives to climb up high are just beyond their understanding. Why would you risk your life for no reason? But don’t we all risk our life every day with things we consider normal. Just because it’s socially acceptable doesn’t mean it’s less risky! When you drive in a car and another car is crossing you. Imagine one of the cars is leaving his line for just one meter. It will crash into you and the consequences probably will be really bad. Or you’re waiting at the train station and fast train comes past. You’re only a few steps away from death! These things are so normal for us and we’re not saying they are dangerous because we do them every day. So why should standing on the edge of a multiple story building be more dangerous? Walking on the edge of a roof is not any different than walking on the ground. We all have control over our body. So why would we make the decision to step off the edge? The fear of height is created in your head. It’s the way you deal with the situation you’re not comfortable with. But why is it considered stupid or dangerous when we feel comfortable up there just as much as you feel on the ground? Up there it’s us and our senses. That’s what we rely on, we learned to trust our abilities. Just because people don’t understand our point of view doesn’t mean it’s a wrong point of view. We are responsible for our actions and if this is risky then I will continue to be a risk taker and see the world how I want to see it …and trust me the view up there is pretty sick! I’m not telling people to do this kind of stuff. I’m not telling people to not do it either. Just ask yourself why you decide to climb on heights… Contact: joel.eggimann@outlook.com - Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/JoelsParkour - Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/JoelsParkour
