It's considered one of the modern architectural icon buildings of Khartoum. Apparently it is suppose to be a boat. For me it's more a cheap and fat version of the Burj al Arab of Dubai. The service as in all of Khartoum needs improvement. The rooms are big, almost too big. The first thing I noticed is a lack of power points for my devices. But they will provide extensions if needed. The breakfast is good with a vast choice on the highest floor overlooking the two niles (blue and white). In generell i can recommend the place. Don't expect good internet though. Price varies depending on season of course. 195 USD, but be careful and read the reservations properly. Sudan has on top a 5% residence fee and additional 17% VAT. Not included in the price you see on the website. As a foreigner the passport needs to be registered, that alone will cost 91 USD. Sudan does not have card facilities! Everything must be paid in hard cash US Dollar. So be prepared to carry a lot of money.
