Can you go back for an updated video of this mall?
-
2 story indoor track sounds amazing
-
It didn't help that right up the road is the Greece mall and 20 minutes away is the way nicer Eastview mall. The low income neighborhoods and shady property owners didn't help either.
-
Would make for a Perfect place for a casino. Loads of parking, places for resteraunts, bands etc. What a waste of jobs and space.
-
Damn it... ;-;
Good memories when I went here
When I was little...
I'm sad that it closed down due to the budget :'c
I really wanted to see it still open today.... -
I used to like that mall a lot when I was younger. Very nice inside.
I stood and watched them building it from the back of the McDonald's
parking lot, the first 2 story mall I'd seen here in NY.
Too bad they didn't police it properly, and let the bad influences drive the customers away. -
When I was a lot younger, I went to that mall a few times. The Time Out Arcade was a lot of fun, the K&B toy store was nice, the food court was good and the bookstores were great. This is a mall that should've thrives but unfortunately when you factor in the NYS has ungodly high taxes and so many businesses left the state due to those high taxes and so forth, this is a terrible reminder of that. Perhaps one day, like the Phoenix, this mall will rise again to what it once was.

I've been to that mall before it was abandon
-
I still live in rochester, and i wish they'd do something with it instead of leaving it as an eyesore.
-
I work at the Macy's at Medley Centre and it always broke my heart to look out those windows and see the old mall... :(((
-
It sounds like an eyesore.:(

Business wise they are hurting and this mall is dead it's only a matter of time and Sear's and Macy's will be gone also. They were talking about making this mall into a hotel and parking. But I haven't heard anything in a long time or seen any progress. The parking lot now has huge pot holes and the signs don't even work.
-
So its a dead mall but two stores are still open? How are they doing business wise?Is the dead part of the mall closed to the public?
-
There is still Macy's and Sears opened to this day. Born and Raised right by this mall and still live not to far.
-
it's too bad they closed midtown plaza. once that died, all the urban folk began to go to Irondequoit mall:-(
-
My last memory of going there was 2004, when it a spot for "powerwalks" and snacks/dining and about nothing else. Shopped a lot there as a teenager in the late 90s, especially for school clothes, where a lot of us "lower income" kids could them from a mall. In 2005 it became Medley Center and I thought it would get a nice second chance...but it was dead within 4 years. I had meant to take a visit to see it's new "makeover", but never got to.
-
Wow amazing, I remember going to this mall often and even the grand opening.
-
I thought that this mall should have been turned into a huge senior citizen complex, since they were the only ones you could find in this mall toward the end.
-
This mall closed for good or are a few stores still open?
-
I remember this mall when I was little.. Good times.
