Under Richards command two boys enter the tower and are never seen again. He had them killed. facts is facts, he was in charge, nothing would happen without his orders. Boys one who is to be king, just don't vanish.

Well after they were killed then Tutors took over so they killed for the throne.. So yes was selfish and greed!! But my favorite era!!
-
brilliant story!!!! one of my favourites
-
Shakespeare portrayed richard as having a ' crooked back '.....This was thought to be poetic licence on Shakespeares part...all part of suggesting Richard was a bad 'un..( apologies to any-one with a crooked back )..When Richards remains were discovered a few years ago...His skeleton showed yes ! He had a crooked back.

Methinks that it WAS Richard the 3rd. There are stories that he hid them in the Tower of London, and there, they were walled up,and met their dastardly fate. When the wall was torn down, there, they found two small skeletons, and they are said to be both Richard and Edward.

HenryVII did it. He killed all Plantagenets including RichardIII oh! Except Richards sister who he married to legitimate his offspring to the throne. Richard was an unpopular King with his equals because of his love of the common man. RichardIII changed many rules and laws to for the benefit of the working classes. The death of RichardIII was one of histories great sadnesses, because he was a wonderful man. RichardIII will always remain my King our Yorkshire King. Long live King Richard.

Wow that was a complicated story! Great reading!

Most people of British lineage suspect that Richard 111 was knowledgeable in what happened to the boys. As a king he was killed in battle and left where he died. They found his body a few years ago under a Parking lot and only found out it was him by DNA. That is not how a King was buried in the 15th century. Even when they found his body he was not buried as a King of England but was just buried under the altar of the local church. So that must say something. As even the most notorious kings like Henry the 8th are buried properly in accordance with the rules of the day.

One of my favorite mysteries. As a history geek I can honestly say you did an amazing job describing it ❤️

Don't worry, the Holinshead piece was written in Old English, I'm still struggling with studying it (and I AM a native English speaker), it still feels like nonsense 😆 you have coped admirably with lots of horrible place names in this video, very hard to believe that English ISN'T your first language. Great video, fascinating and tragic story of corruption. 🤔

Great job and thanks! Very interesting and sad! I love your channel! :)

Very interesting, but perhaps it wasn't murder at all. I wonder if perhaps they were killed by an illness in 1483, or maybe they went into hiding but died before they were old enough to return (possibly as a result of an early outbreak of sweating sickness). I really do not think we can make all of these wild accusations of possibly innocent men if we do not even know when or how they died.

Richard did have the boys killed so he can have the throne. it has already been proven fact to this day.

Like how you did the intro about the aliens and vamps lol
