Snooty Brits could have learned German, now they'll have to learn Arabic.

Don't mention this comment.

Sigh As an American, I find this to be typical Boorish British humor combined with pure delusion of superiority. If it wasn't for American POWER, the UK would be NAZI-land or COMMIE-land. Take your pick! Losers. #Trump2016

Guess the 189 people who hated the episode were germans

is too bad the hotel "was on fire after the second season on 1992 I don't know but is over now" need to finding the new hotel to filming the new Fawlty towers season 3 with new people to have the comedy to have the Fawlty towers a good times is 25 years ago the 1 season of Fawlty towers start it after 2 years of the season "no one knows who started the fire of the hotel or the house they was in or out"

My number one favourite episode. Not just for this scene but the whole fire drill scene as well.

What a great show. The youth today cannot get thier minds around this. We definitely had the best of everything in our generation. RIP Andrew

Who'd win a one liner contest? Basil fawlty or Al Bundy?

It happend get over it. British humour the best in the world!
-
Quite simply the funniest piece of TV ever. John Cleese is a genius.
-
Very popular sketch in the fatherland, too! Funny as hell even for us Germans! LOL!

DAS IST LUSTIG!!!

"...I'm trying to cheer her up, you stupid craut!!" God, I laughed at this scene as a 8- year old, and I still laugh at it today, as do my nephews and nieces. Fawlty Towers is absolutely timeless...

Why does the girl cry when he mentions the food bit at the start I don't get it could some one explain
-
Who won the bloody war anyway?!! 😂
-
I wish I could kick my legs that high. John Cleese must have been pretty flexible when he did this.
-
"We did not start it." "Yes you did, you invaded Poland." That's still one of the funniest exchanges in TV comedy history.
You would never get away with that these days!!!
