It is now time to check out this new location. After resuming, the party Zooms to Madame Luca's (time 0:30). Her fortune hints that there is a tower in a desert in the dream world, and there is some connection between this tower and Castle Swanstone. Next, the party Zooms to Castle Swanstone (time 1:25). Not too complicated, as far as DQ castles go. Weapon and armour shops are just inside the castle entrance. The Staff of Antimagic is a new acquisition, as is the Legerdemantle. As far as the castle gossip goes, there is apparently a cursed princess in a mirror in the castle. She seems to have taken the fancy of the current monarch, King Ludwig. On the first floor, passage north of the stairway is forbidden. The party heads up to the second floor of the castle (time 5:29). The southern door leads out to the ramparts, where there are a guard and one of King Ludwig's admirers. In the kitchen on the eastern side of the second floor, there is a pot containing a Seed of Magic (time 8:28). In the bedroom on the western side of the second floor, one of the wardrobes contains Mini Medal #040 (time 10:25). In the throne room, the party talks with the chancellor (time 12:33). When they say they have business with the king, he directs them to visit His Majesty in the castle cellar. The party then heads upstairs to the third floor (time 13:46). The chest of drawers contains Mini Medal #041 (time 13:59). The party goes back down to the first floor (time 14:56). Then, they head downstairs to the cellar (time 16:39). In the eastern room, the western chest contains 150 gold (time 17:10). The other chest contains a Pretty Betsy. The party then approaches the central door to the mirror chamber (time 18:11). From within, they hear the king speaking. Then, the king emerges. He directs the party to come see him upstairs. Up in the throne room, the party talks to young King Ludwig (time 20:20). He has no desire to exploit the mirror princess. However, he does desire information about Ra's Mirror! After the dialogue, the party must talk to the king once again (time 21:35). When they show him Ra's Mirror, he guides them downstairs and into the mirror chamber. The party then steps up to the mirror and uses Ra's Mirror (time 23:03). When they do so, it reveals a malevolent sorcerer behind the princess! Oh, my! King Ludwig instructs the party to see him upstairs after he has had the chance to check something. Up in the throne room, the party talks to the king once again (time 25:22). According to an old book, a wicked sorcerer named Spiegel trapped the beautiful princess in the mirror. Only by defeating Spiegel can the party free her. Then, the party talks to the chancellor (time 27:23). From what the book says, Spiegel lives atop a tower surrounded by a lake north of the castle. No such castle exists in the real world anymore, but there is a tower that meets this description in the dream world. To open the door, the party must use the Peep spell. Heorot learns this at Level 6. Before proceeding, the party will do a bit of hunting at the Spiegelspire to raise their vocation levels. Thanks for watching!
