Dubai Aquarium, the largest acrylic tank of its kind in the world when completed in 2008 at "32.88 m wide × 8.3 m high × 750 mm thick and weighing 245,614 kg". Dubai Aquarium has the largest range of sea life in captivity, awarded with the Guinness World Record for "Largest Acrylic Panel in the World Dubai, October 30 th, 2008". These dumbass construction teams in Dubai.
Who the fuck thought it was a smart idea to build a piece of glass 150 meters long in 4 pieces. It would have been Better to build it in 3 compartments.
The only reason why you wold do it in 4 pieces like they did is bragging rights over it being one piece.
This is blowing money on the smallest details, making this project unattainable long term.
The reason why America does not build another one bigger is because it does not make economic sense. The Arabs think building a mall and skyscrapers is a sing of wealth, they are byproducts of economic efficiencies. -
