Dubai mall was over capacity due to unexpected number of people coming to see the Burj Khalifa fireworks from the dubai mall water fountain view point. Once the view point was to capacity the police and mall security closed up the are to further entry of people. Agitated people then forced their way past the barricade causing a stampede that could have easily resulted in injuries. luckily no one was hurt.
