A fault in a single outside spotlight sparked the massive fire that tore through the Address Downtown on New Year’s Eve, Dubai Police have revealed. The fire – which saw thousands evacuated from the building and Downtown area and took 24 hours to fully bring under control – originated from an exposed, unconnected wire on a ledge between 14th and 15th floors, investigators said on Wednesday.
