Etihad Towers is the name of a complex of buildings with five towers in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates. Located on the Corniche near the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, and designed by the Australian architectural firm DBI Design, AECOM's design and construction supervision team has been on the job since the project began in July 2006. The prestigious Etihad Towers development project is a 460,000 square meter mixed-use development that includes five towers ranging from 55 to 77 floors, featuring an array of amenities, including an international five-star hotel, a boutique shopping mall, premium office tower, a hypermarket and quality residential apartments. All hotel rooms, apartments and office floors will have stunning sea views, overlooking the Abu Dhabi coastline.Once completed, the project will be one of the most prestigious developments in Abu Dhabi and AECOM will have played a prominent role in bringing this to reality. Tower 1: 69 floors, 277 meters Tower 2: 74 floors, 305 meters Tower 3: 54 floors, 260 meters Tower 4: 60 floors, 234 meters Tower 5: 55 floors, 218 meters The estimated cost for the construction are 2.5 bn Dirhams. Towers 2 and 5 topped out in November 2010. A year later, in November 2011, the Jumeirah at Etihad Towers Hotel which belongs to Jumeirah Group was opened in Tower 1. Tori No Su Japanese restaurant opened within the hotel in 2012. The adjacent Tower 2 is (as of December 2012) the tallest building on Abu Dhabi island and the second tallest in Abu Dhabi after Sky Tower on Al Reem Island.
