Please make Vasco da Gama next in this series Tom ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

It's probably worthwhile to mention a major rule that Tom did not (as far as I recall) mention at all -
Each player starts the game with a "Potion" token, which they can use during another player's turn (by giving it to that player) in order to copy the action that the player just took. That way, potions are constantly exchanged between players in order to do more things - which does also offer more strategy as you might like to take an action but you know that you'll be helping someones else too, potentially. -
I wonder how this would work as a family game. I agree the tower mechanism is really interesting.

HARD pass. That ending would make me completely irate. If they could figure out a way to make the ending a little bit less public...like people can't see what doors you chose...or the princess moves and gets shuffled every turn...or something like that. I'd love to see the tower mechanic getting used in another game, something a little more meaty and a little less random.

Love the title card!

It's the same die from Ghost stories!

My kids (10 and 11) and I hated this game! We didn't bother finishing because we found the gameplay very unengaging and the theme is so juvenile. It looks great and I LOVE the designers; this was the biggest disappointment of the year by far for me.

This game is definitely lovely.
Any game has to be designed for an audience, or it is designed for none and therefore bad.
Many mainstream games (hasbro) are plein and lack any soul.
This one has a soul. And it is in the Spiel des Jahres category (even so I doubt it could win) -
This looked so interesting - especially the neat action selection mechanic - but the end just killed it for me. It seems very anti-climactic, unfortunately!
