But in my own form of Stereo! Which spreads the sound channels and adds a bit of echo/reverb. These mixes also do not represent true, original, or actual stereo that the NES has, this is just to make the music sound more clear and crisp, and is another way of listening to the greatness of 8Bit music. So enjoy this soundtrack in what I like to call, WiiGuy's 8Bit Stereo!! :D Shout out to the VGMPF & GDRI for helping spread accurate info! http://www.vgmpf.com/Wiki/ http://gdri.smspower.org DOWNLOAD LINK: http://www.mediafire.com/download/kwpq08a4uref7ii/8BitStereo+-+Final+Fantasy+2.rar

Final Fantasy 2 has remake potential. It has really good story telling.
-
18:23 Beginning part sounds a bit like O Canada, and then stems off into an entirely different song
-
18:03 was used in Final Fantasy Dissidia's ending credits, which is a heart-wrenching orchestral medley of major themes of all Final Fantasy games from 1 to 10.
-
OMG! I just noticed that the Castle Pandemonium sounds like Chaos Shrine.
-
Two is awesome!
-
revivification is such a cool track
-
Underrated. I have this game on my shelf, but no Famicom. I'm getting one, finally.

@Daniel zavasky ff 4 in Japan was ff 2 in america. Not other way around. In America it went 1 2(4) 3(6) 7 8 9 10 11 12 13, and in America at one point they released original 2 3 5 also

FF II wasn't bad at all, it has a good soundtrack and different gameplay, but it almost brought Square the downfall in the beginning of their career. That was realy close. But FF III was a milestone and rescued Square from the end.

Listening to this soundtrack brings me back to the many hours I spent playing the GBA version of this game years ago... it is such a fantastic game, and such a great challenge with the unique leveling system! Now that I'm a more seasoned author and music composer (although I am still far from ever mastering either of those), I appreciate this soundtrack and the game even more than I did when I was younger.

I wish you added the unused tracks.
-
This is game is ridiculously dark. It's awesome although it would be good if running away worked more often like in FF1
-
I cried when I listen to this,so many fanatic memories
-
Main theme is one of the greatest 8-bit music.
-
Ever notice in the picture looks like Locke from ff3/6.
-
This was the first ff game which the character actually said something.unlike 1.all they could say was yes or no
-
NO! No......It is not fun to play JP games untranslated...... Its the excat opposite of fun.

More in-depth: We know 2 and 3 weren't released over here because the first one finally got here in 1990. By 1990, 3 had already been released. There were plans to bring 2 over here, and there was even a prototype made of it, but since SNES was coming out the next year, they decided to release the newest one, FF4, and rebrand it as 2 over here. Square feared 5 wouldn't be accessible to the average gamer, but had several different attempts at localization, all of which fell through.

The only possible answer I have for this is the fact that so many characters like....actually DIE in this game. I mean Final Fantasy 4 had some "deaths" but most characters turned out okay. But who knows.
