Various of firefighters on a crane STORYLINE Fires continued to burn at the Address Downtown Hotel in Dubai on Friday morning, over 12 hours after a blaze broke out in the building on New Year's Eve. The fire at the upscale hotel and residence started around 9.30pm local time (5.30pm GMT) on Thursday. Dubai firefighters were still on the scene on Friday, using cranes to access the fire on the skyscraper. Authorities said at least 14 people were slightly injured, and one person suffered a heart attack from the smoke and over-crowding during the evacuation of the building. It was unclear what caused the fire, which ran up the side of the 63-storey building.
