An eighth-grade student at Paul R. Smith Middle School in Holiday, Florida has been charged with felony computer intrusion after using an administrative-level password on a school computer to play a prank on a teacher. Domanik Green, 14, said he found out the password was a teacher's last name two years ago after watching a teacher type it into a computer. Green said students would use the password to screen-share friends. But when he found that the computer he was using did not have a camera, he decided to switch computers. He then logged onto the laptop of a teacher he found annoying and changed the teacher's desktop background into something inappropriate. Green also accessed a computer that contained encrypted files of the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test but did not view or access the files. A substitute teacher discovered the offensive wallpaper and reported the matter to school officials. Green was arrested and charged with an offense against a computer system and unauthorized access, a third degree felony. He was also suspended from the school for 10 days, and it is unclear whether he will return after the suspension. He was released from Land O'Lakes Detention Center into the custody of his mother on the same day of his arrest. Green's mother, Eileen Foster, said she understands her son did something wrong and should be punished for it, but she doesn't think he needed to be arrested. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets.
