Global Investors Summit or GIS is a biennial summit organized by Madhya Pradesh government in Indore, the commercial capital of central India to attract domestic and foreign investment for development of state. Based on the theme– India's Growth Centre and aimed at bringing together business leaders, investors, corporations, thought leaders, policy and opinion makers; the summit served as a perfect platform to understand and explore business opportunities with the State of Madhya Pradesh. First GIS started in 2007 and 3rd GIS completed during 28–30 October 2012. The 4th GIS is in progress now. It is a three day summit during 8-10 october 2014. GIS 2014 is in progress during 8-10 October 2014 in Brilliant Convention Centre, Indore. Top names in Indian business such as Mukesh and Anil Ambani, Cyrus Mistry, YC Deveshwar and Gautam Adani, among others, have confirmed their participation. Six countries, including Canada, Australia and South Africa are partner-nations at the event.
