Dubai, Google 'BackPack' Captures Remote Street Views

The company has now created a modified backpack, called a Trekker, to enable people to walk to remote locations and get the 360 degree images required. The Trekker has already been used in the Grand Canyon and the world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa, and is now coming to the UK for the first time to document the nation's canals and rivers. Volunteers from the Canal & River Trust - the charity that looks after England and Wales' waterways - will be walking the backpack over 100 miles during August.
