Dubai, Hampton Court Secrets of Henry VIIIs Palace
Dubai videos | Buildings | Information | History | Emirates | View
Hampton Court is the ultimate royal pleasure palace, embodying an indulgent and grandiose lifestyle built by Cardinal Thomas Wolsey and furthered by King Henry VIII. Its many rooms chart Henry VIII's decline from fit young warrior to bloated womanizer, and they tell the vivid stories of the ladies who became his queens. Later, King William III and Queen Mary II commissioned Sir Christopher Wren to rebuild Hampton Court, demolishing half of the red brick Tudor palace and replacing it with an exquisite Baroque castle, making Hampton Court one of the most unique palaces in the world. Secrets of Henry VIII's Palace digs beneath the brick and stone to unveil an abundance of art and lore that bring Hampton Court to life. I do not own any right on this video. this is uploaded for educational purposes

There is no voice better than Samuel West for British documentary. I love to hear it. It is calming in its clarity, very nice.

6 years of waiting for Anne. Well, I think I got that right. Best Books to read are: The Life and Death of Anne Boleyn: 'the Most Happy' By Ives, E. W. & Sister Queens: The Noble, Tragic Lives of Katherine of Aragon and Juana, Queen of Castile by Julia Fox & The Creation of Anne Boleyn: A New Look at England’s Most Notorious QueenApr 1, 2014 by Susan Bordo

You want to know who might have some first hand experience with ghosts? The Queen. She lives in all these old palaces and is a direct descendant of many of the people who lived there in the past. I would bet that she has many experiences that she does not share with outsiders.

Outside these palaces, the rich also shared their food with the poor outside. It was considered ill mannered to eat everything on your table when there were hungry people outside. A huge difference from the French monarchy which is why it lasted longer. So a lot of rich food was shared. The poor would hang around outside the courts and could get jobs attending the horses, or as servants. You can read it Ann Weir's book, Henry VIII.

Lipscomb is a total sleaze. Any woman who spends 3 hours every morning curling her peroxided hair into her contrived hairstyle - and wears a nose piercing- is a phony!

Chopped his wives head off not knowing it is the male that determines the sex of the child.Or was that his excuse?

Henry should have been assassinated before he had the chance to wreak his havoc on his wives... too bad no one had the courage to accomplish it. He was an adulterous, hypocritical, fat pig. He deserved what he got...syphilis, a non healing wound, obesity and a painful existence until death.

Greedy, arrogant, sadistic monarchs. Thank god they are gone.

what did she say the wives of King Henry the 8th were alive on minute and dead the next???????? where do they find these so called expert's, just an example anne boleyn was with henry for over 10 years, and boleyn stole both the man and King from a woman who was already married to him, a woman who is believed to have poisoned King Henry's son to ensure that her daughter ruled and that turned out well didn't !, these historians are polluting history with political correctness, then jane seymour whom he loved with all his heart and soul, why is it she is always glazed over? and the historians always mention the ones who were banging the male servants and got court and then where behead, which by the way any monark would have done.So please don't learn history from Television, read the source materials and educate yourselves with the truth.

that women saying about the battle of the spurs being 'propaganda' I've read countless times that he led a charge himself that day which effectively led to the victory.
