A 41-year-old man was shot to death by police after a high-speed car chase lead to a multi-vehicle crash in Houston on Wednesday. The chase ensued after Houston police tried to pull over Frank “Trey” Shephard for “suspicious activity”, including unsafe lane changes, the Houston Chronicle reported. At one point, the suspect threatened to harm a child in his car if officers tried to stop him. However, no child was found inside the car, according to the Chronicle. After a pursuit lasting several minutes, the suspect slammed into a white car at an intersection before spinning into another vehicle, ABC 13 reported. The suspect exited the vehicle after the crash but when he reached back inside the vehicle, two officers discharged their weapons, firing between 10 to 12 shots, fatally striking the suspect, according to ABC 13. Shephard reportedly had a criminal background that included charges of making a terroristic threat and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, the Chronicle reported. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets.
