previously ASTANA-BOLIQ or ASTAN-BOLIQ, Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan and it was once Asitane during Ottoman Imperial, BOLIQ means city before Islam and Astan comes from a Pro-Turkish word ASQAN which means "being in heaven" consistent with the city's itself and changed into İstanbul in time...

I love Istanbul and I want to visit this city. Does Istanbul mean something in the Turkish luguage ? In Greek Istanbul means " In the City" or " To the City " because Greeks used to call Constandinoupole (when it was a Greek city before 1453 ) just "The City".
lot's of love from Greece. -
