Mas temos aqui um gratificante exemplo de qualidade e o melhor de tudo: a banda é brasileira. O Khallice é um grupo de Brasília que já teve em sua formação o Mario Linhares (Dark Avenger). O debut foi gravado em 2002, mas a Hellion relançou em 2003. Fica redundante dizer que as influências de Dream Theater e Rush são evidentes, mas é necessário comentar já que essas influências são usadas como influências mesmo e não mera cópia. O grupo consegue ter músicas extremamente variadas em todos os sentidos: guitarra, vocal, bateria e teclado. É complexo destacar alguma faixa em um trabalho tão homogêneo como esse, mas vale conferir “Vampire” essa talvez seja a de mais fácil assimilação por ser curta e com uma melodia mais acessível. Tem a épica “Loneliness” que abre o cd. Em “Wrong Words” o ouvinte presenciará um maravilhoso trabalho de teclado . Alírio Neto se mostra um excepcional vocalista com timbre semelhante à La Brie e André Matos • This is the debut of this Brazilian band. The album contains songs composed since the beginning of their road and has very talented musicians. There are nine tracks of a varied and creative Progressive Metal influenced by Rush and Dream Theater (yeah, guys!). It’s full of virtuous guitars and keyboards solos amongst an involving atmosphere. The singer Alírio Netto is great and very professional, although some treble slides. But he has a good voice and perfect level of interpretation. The guitar player Marcelo Barbosa is a renamed musician and GTR’s owner (one of the best guitar institutes in Latin America ). Bassist Michel Marciano attacks with wonderful and harmonious bass lines, added to the competent drummer César Zolhof. These qualities united with the keyboards atmospheres created by Bruno Wambier result in a sound complex with extreme maturity and technical. The high points are “I’ve Lost My Faith”, “Vampire” (great keyboards!), “Thunderstorm” and “The Journey”. This album is indicated to Progressive Rock and Prog Metal fans, and Khallice is one of few bands nowadays that play it without be boring. Congratulations and we wait for the second album!
