This is video #130 in my playthrough of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, part of the Kingdom Hearts HD II.5 ReMIX. This is Critical Mode. This video does not contain commentary. To view the commentary version, click here: https://youtu.be/VfgXeANYU_U Previously, the party made it all the way through the Cavern of Remembrance, the Final Mix-exclusive bonus dungeon on Radiant Garden. They also synthesized the Ultima Weapon, Sora's best overall weapon in the game, after getting all 7 Orichalcum+s. Now, the party will complete the game for the first time. They have already fulfulled the requirements for viewing the first secret ending: completing the stories in each world, including Atlantica and the 100 Acre Wood. Completing the game will unlock some optional challenges that are required for getting the second secret ending. They head over to the World that Never Was, where they land at the Altar of Naught (time 0:54). When they land, they prepare Riku. When they are prepared, Sora heads north and enters the door (time 2:22). The game looks out for you by giving you the option of not going forward. However, Sora goes forward by choosing, "Let's end this!!!" I guess one exclamation point is not enough! In a scene, Sora, Riku, and King Mickey use their powers to open up the door to Xemnas. Afterwards, the group passes through to find themselves in Xemnas's distorted world (time 3:19). When they regain control, the party must progress forward to Xemnas (time 4:04). Sora must use the Slicer reaction command to get past walls that raise up. Then, the party can continue on to the next area. In the next area, a scene will occur in which the buildings underneath the party raise them up (time 4:31). Progressing, Sora will quickly have to use Escablade to slice a descending building. Then, he will have to use successive Sky Scraper commands so he can cross the buildings to Xemnas's ship. Afterwards, the party will arrive in front of the Right Cylinder of Xemnas's battleship (time 5:04). Here, the party will have to knock the weak Nobody ships into each cylinder to make then explode. Each cylinder will charge energy to fire on the party. When the cylinder is fully charged, use Stunt Dodge to get over to the other cylinder. You will have to use Stunt Dodge, as well, whenever a cylinder is ready to explode. During this sequence, Donald reaches Level 68 and gains a Magic increase (time 6:01). When both cylinders are defeated, Sora will leap up to a higher level of the battleship (time 6:22). The party will now work to stop the energy core. At a couple of intervals, Nobodies will appear to attack the party. At first, it will be Creepers and Assassins. Later, Berserkers will appear to supplement the enemy force. Also, some unidentified enemies will attack from above. This is laughable compared to the Nobody event encounters in the Cavern of Remembrance. When the energy is stopped, the party will be able to Proceed (time 8:01). In a scene, they will be whisked to Xemnas's throne. The Organization's number 1 will be clad in Keyblade armor. It is now time to fight Armored Xemnas (time 8:29). He can use the weapons of many of his fallen comrades. He is capable of thrusting the party back. However ... down in one Limit break? What kind of final boss is this? Afterwards, a lengthy scene will take place at the Altar of Naught (time 9:19). An unexpected source helps create a portal out of the Organization's world. There is a touching exchange involving Naminé and Roxas. However, it seems Xemnas still has some fun in store for Sora and Riku. Specifically, he has a dragon ship! After the scene, Sora and Riku will pursue Xemnas's dragon ship on a convenient speeder (time 14:52). The dragon ship has five targets: the tail, the starboard turret, the port turret, the starboard wing, and the port wing. Xemnas will call enemy ships to attack Sora and Riku. He will also fire snowflake lasers and missiles. One important thing to do is use the Circle button for Drain to absorb enemy attacks. This will charge up the super-powerful Megalaser attack. Meanwhile, use the Square button for Laser to shoot at enemy ships and the dragon ship targets. The snowflake lasers and missiles are best avoided. Above all, be careful. Sora cannot heal during this sequence. After the battle, another scene takes place (time 19:12). The dragon ship goes down, but Xemnas seems to have new tricks in store. Sora and riku land in the cockpit to find Xemnas in Keyblade armor again. Description continued in the comments.

Description continuation:
Then, it is time to fight Armored Xemnas again (time 20:54). Again, he will be able to thrust the party away, and he will be able to block attacks with a damaging energy shield. He doesn't use his fallen comrades'attacks so much anymore. Instead, he can now propel Sora and Riku right out of the cockpit!
While the party is in the cockpit, limits are a great way to deal damage to Xemnas. When Xemnas thrusts the party out of the cockpit, Sora must glide over to buildings and use the reaction commands Riding Shot and Meteor Rain to get rid of Xemnas's barrier. Along the way, avoid flying buildings, arcing lasers, and snowflake lasers. Dropping seems to be a good way to avoid the arcing lasers, while jumping seems to be a good way to avoid the snowflake lasers. The objective is to get back into the cockpit.
Late in the battle, Xemnas will also deploy snowflake lasers that rake across the cockpit. They are such a pain.
Note that a combo finisher is needed to deal the coup de grace to Armored Xemnas.
Afterwards, there is a scene with Sora, Riku, and Xemnas in the midst of nothingness (time 25:39). Xemnas now has a white cloak with black markings.
After the scene, it is time to battle Xemnas in his final form (time 26:39). He will start out by throwing Sora into the air and mercilessly attacking. It is best to use Reversal to evade his attacks. During a brief battle script, Sora will have to use Block to parry Xemnas's attack.
After that, Xemnas will fight on the ground. He will often duplicate himself. When he shoots dark tendrils of energy, evade with Reversal. Xemnas will also fire large explosive balls of energy. The Session limit is an excellent way to deal damage with impunity.
Later, Xemnas will fire many, many red lasers at the party. Evade or block these, and keep Sora's HP up.
The most dangerous part of the battle is when Xemnas tries to take Sora's heart. Riku alone must save him, but he will have to contend with a nasty Xemnas duplicate that will batter him with an energy shield. For Riku, it is best to take a couple of steps forward, use Dark Aura with Square, and repeat. When Riku is close enough, he can use Rescue to save Sora. After this, Xemnas will be vulnerable for a brief moment.
Closer to the end, Xemnas will get nastier with the dark thorn attacks. When he is down to his very last life bar, he will conjure a barrage of laser attacks. Mash X and Triangle so Sora and Riku can deflect all the lasers. A cool event will take place if the party survives this. Afterwards, Sora can deal the coup de grace to Xemnas with a combo finisher.
At the conclusion of this battle, Sora reaches Bonus Level 58 (time 34:26). Sora's Drive Gauge increases to 7. Riku gets a Max HP increase.
When the battle is over, it is time for the final scenes to commence (time 34:39). First off, Xemnas finally disappears. Good riddance.
Afterwards, Sora and Riku find themselves at the Dark Margin (time 36:35). The two have a nice heart-to-heart. Then, a bottle with a message mysteriously appears. Afterwards, something even stranger, yet welcome.
The final scenes will conclude in the next episode.
Thank you for watching!
