Dubai, Laura Vanessa Nunes - Burj Khalifa's best kept secret

Laura Vanessa Nunes - The Cover-up I went to Dubai in March 2015 to find answers. My daughter fell to her death from the At the Top Sky observation deck on the 148th floor of the Burj Khalifa, her little body landing on the balcony outside the Amal Restaurant on the 3rd floor of the Armani Hotel. The main criteria was to see the footage of the last moments of her life, which I did on 17 March at the Bur Dubai police station. These are now the last memories I have of Laura. Laura spent the last month of her life at the Abidos Hotel Dubailand, and I stayed there during my visit, to be close to where she had been. And other questions were answered. Rod Davies of the Daily Mail exposed Burj Khalifa's best kept secret on 18 May 2015 and despite denials from the Dubai Police, i.e. the Government of Dubai, nobody believed them. The misinformation that Laura fell from her 14th floor apartment at the Jumeirah Lakes Towers is laughable. She didn't stay there...she was staying in Room 309 Abidos Hotel Dubailand. And I have the original Coroner's report issued by the Government of Dubai both in English and Arabic stating that her body was found on the 3rd floor of the Burj Khalifa. Laura was a young woman who never intentionally harmed anyone...she had a pure heart. Hers is a love story - a Juliet without a Romeo. She didn't deserve such a terrible, terrible death or the injustice that followed. I love you my beautiful... https://plus.google.com/+LeonaSykes/posts

Who was that heartless business man?

Thank you Eric for your beautiful message. Please don't apologise for anything. I realised that you meant 'Leona', and don't worry about your tardy response - I also miss notifications.
Two wonderful investigative journalists helped to expose the cover-up of Laura's death - Will Jordan of Al Jazeera, and Rob Davies of the Daily Mail. I will always be thankful to them for listening to Laura's story.
And I will always be thankful to Lieutenant Colonel Tariq Mohd and the two women that work for the Victims Support Group at the Bur Dubai Police station, for allowing me to see the CCTV footage of the last minutes of Laura's life. After going to the Burj Khalifa the night before I didn't think that I would be allowed to see it. And if I hadn't seen it I would never have been able to understand how she managed to slip between the small gap, so effortlessly. But she is in a better place. My son Matthew wrote these words to her on the one year anniversary of her death:
"Those who die young die because they are angels too pure for this world. I will never understand why you left us so early but I know I will see you again one day in a place free of the unhappiness of this world."
I do sometimes sense Laura around me...the mixture of lavender air freshener and her special perfume, Supreme Bouquet by Yves St Laurent, that was in her handbag on the day of her death. And sometimes I feel heat around my shoulders and chest.
I am writing a book about Laura which includes the cover-up. It's taking a while. I often play some of her Arab music when I'm writing. As you can imagine, it is quite difficult to write at times. This week I started writing about her final 19 days, starting from 28 October, 2014.
I do appreciate your kind and heartfelt words. It almost sounds like you knew Laura.
Regards,

wow. wow. The wealthy in Dubai fed the information to the press that was used in any public disclosure. Thus the information that any Dubai police would go off had been planted by whomever fed information to the press. These same people play the lyre as the people around them, their "Arab muslim brothers" starve and flee towards the "infidel" west, so I can see why they don't care or value human life.

Leona, I believe you one hundred percent. There isn't a shred of doubt in my mind.
I am so sorry this happened to your daughter. And I am also sorry about the injustice that you and her are facing.
Hang in there, continue to be strong, and most importantly, keep being a good person.
Much love and care,
Just a random stranger who was touched by your loss and your plight after that loss. (Nobody should have to bear either one of those things, much less both.) Hang in there, Laura. And I believe you will see her again. -
Thank you Jean. Laura was still so young. Still battling to accept her death. Good luck with your research.

So sorry that this has happened. I found your page while researching building data for a corporate presentation on global property statistics. Your daughter and I are the same age. Beautiful lady. I hope you soon find answers and peace.

Thank you Abonesr. I appreciate your comment. I know that my poor daughter fell to her death from the 148th floor of the Burj Khalifa and so do the Emaar Property Group, the Dubai Police and the government of Dubai. The press just report what they're told to. I have the evidence. With what goes on in this world Laura is definitely in a better place. Thank you Abonesr for your kindness.

They must discuss this with you again. They must bring you every detail, evidence and footage.
I wish they begin to act on that soon to bring you closure and let you grief peacefully.
My sincere condolences for this loss. May your daughter rest in peace and in a better place now. -

Now the Dubai police can't confirm from which building my daughter took her life -
I have just published the first page of the Coroner's Report from the Government of Dubai on my Google+ account.

Major General Khalil Ebrahim Al Mansouri - you know that my daughter was not staying at the Jumeirah Lakes Towers...so do I. We both know exactly where she had been staying at the time of her death - Abidos Dubailand. Your statement is invalid!!! And she did fall from the 148th floor of the Burj Khalifa on 16 November 2014. Look at the Coroner's Report in Dubai. I have the original documentation. -

As Laura's mother it is difficult to talk about her tragic death but I believe that her story needs to be told. I love you my beautiful angel XXX
