The hotel known as 51 Buckingham Gate has partnered with Luxor Champagne to offer a 24 karat gold afternoon tea. The beverage contains actual flecks of edible gold. And it will be offered to afternoon tea fans at the hotel. The tasting also includes Gold Leaf Jelly, White Chocolate Delight with Gold Leaf and Strawberry Tart with Gold Flakes. Those wishing to taste the heavenly beverage must book in advance. Another hotel opted to go for an upscale touch. The Dubai's Burj Al Arab hotel has started handing out iPads made with real gold for their guests to order services and information. The gilded tablets were made especially for the hotel and are inscribed with their logo. The General Manager claimed the devices are in-line with both the hotel's "stay different" ethos and its commitment to offering technological conveniences to its guests.
