Earlier this month, cash literally fell from the sky in the Dubai, the United Arab Emirates' largest city. Those fortunate enough to be out and about were either collecting their windfall or using cellphone cameras to record those who were. Pedestrians paused to snatch up the thousands of 500 UAE Dirham notes floating through the air—each worth about $136 U.S. Dollars. Strong winds carried the the cash through the Jumeirah area for several minutes. Some motorists stepped out of their vehicles and raked up notes from the middle of the highway. It's estimated that two to three million UAE Dirham were blowing in the wind. Nobody seems to have a clue as to why the equivalent of 500,000 to 800,000 in U.S. Dollars were on the loose. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoWorld, where we animate the biggest headlines from around the world.
