A fantastically edited set of images offer a new look at some of the world's biggest objects - and how they stack up against other mammoth creations and creatures. The pictures were posted online by Kevin Wisbith, and provide a thought-provoking dose of perspective that couldn't be seen without being digitally altered. 1. The Manhattan skyline and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. 2. Chicago's Willis Tower - 1,729 feet tall - in the bottom of the Mir Mine in Russia, which is 1,722 feet deep. 3. The Titantic, one of the largest ships ever when it was built at 882 feet and 9 inches, was resting on the deck of the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan, which is 1,092 feet long. 4. The B-2 Bomber, one of the world's most advanced and most expensive airplanes, has wingspan 12 feet wider than an NFL football field. 5. The Dionysus asteroid is estimated to be 1.5 km wide or 4921.26 feet, but if it was suspended above the Golden Gate Bridge, it wouldn't even span the length of the bridge. 6. The most unrealistic of all the images - for more than one reason - was one showing the Death Star from Star Wars hovering ominously above Florida. 7. The world's biggest radio telescope is the Chinese Guizhou province telescope, which has a diameter of about 1,600 feet. If placed in downtown Las Vegas it would cover half of The Mirage, all of the LINQ, all of Harrahs, and most of Venetian. 8. The largest oil tanker ever, the Seawise Giant, is 1,504 feet long. But despite being the biggest ever, it would fit comfortably inside the main lake in Central Park. 9. The Pulmonoscorpius kirktonensis was a prehistoric species of scorpion that grew to be about 24 inches long, or the size of a cat. 10. The M-1 Rocket motor, designed by NASA in the 1950s, would have been the biggest motor ever built had it been constructed with a planned diameter of 14 feet, or wide enough to cover a Smart Car with 2 feet to spare on either side.
