DOWNLOAD THE PATTERN HERE:The ideal size needed to print your pattern is A3. Download FREE pattern here: http://www.mediafire.com/download/v0dc0cxes4mklrn/Taj_Mahal_Pop_Up_Card.pdf After you print the template you will notice that there are 3 types of lines, solid, dotted(BLUE) and dashed(RED). Solid lines should be cut all the way through the paper. Dotted and Dashed lines indicate scoring marks (cutting only about a 1/3 of the width of the paper) in order to weaken the paper and help bend it in the correct direction. Dotted lines (.....)(BLUE LINE) indicate mountain folds and therefore the scoring should be done on the front or white side of the paper. Dashed lines (-----) (RED LINE)indicate valley folds so the scoring should be done on the printed or backside of the paper. ================ Tools that you need: 1- Self-Healing Cutting Mat: when you're cutting with it, you're always going to want to have a surface on your table so that you don't cut right into your table, and italso helps your job much easier when it comes to cutting curves or small sections. 2- A good "X-acto Knife" or" Surgical Scalpel with Blade No.11" , do not buy cheap knife. I have bought cheap knifes in the past make your life a hell when cutting intricate parts. 3- Card stock/paper: I recommend using 65lb paper card stock. This thickness paper is rigid enough to stand on its own so that your pop up card can stand up straight, but thin enough to easily cut by hand using an X-Acto knife. 4- Glue Stick & Scissors. ================ Print out the pattern, put it on top of the CARD STOCK, then put both of them on the Cutting Mat. Let's start cutting! ================ In 1631, Indias, Prince Khurram, lost his Princess Mumtaz, the love of his life. In his grief and despair, the Emperor had the finest craftsman in the land create a tribute to his lost Princess. The task that would take more than 22 years to complete would become, the extraordinary TAJ MAHAL. Hope you enjoy it!
