Recently, I had the rare opportunity to work with leading bug expert Peter Clausen. I am very grateful for the time he and his wife spent with me and the amazing, beautiful bugs he provided. Peter Clausen is the owner of https://www.BugsInCyberspace.com which represents the highest and most passionate commitment to sourcing living arthropod specimens for scientists, educators and pet bug hobbyists in the United States. Special thanks to John Skierski, Orin McMonigle and Cameron Campbell for specimen donation and advising. It was real exciting working with several different types of venomous bugs. Peter warned me "if I get bitten or sprayed in the eyes by the Assassin Beetle then I would need to get rushed to the hospital". Throughout the whole shoot I worked only a few inches away from the bugs in order to get the macro shots and I will admit I was a little nervous. I really enjoyed the wide variety of colors and textures of the bugs when viewed inches away. My favorite subject to shoot was the Blue Tarantula. I have gained a great respect for the beauty bugs offer when you get close up and personal with them. They are amazing creations! All the footage was captured using the Red Epic 6K Dragon with a Canon 100mm macro and a single proprietary beta 50,000 lumens LED light.
