http://www.longplays.org/ Played By: Deskawa King's Field is a long running series that started as a launch title of PSX and that have spawned 3 direct sequels and other spiritual ones like Shadow Tower, Eternal Ring and the popular Demon's Souls (and of course the awesome looking Dark Souls). The basic premise of the series is giving the players some dungeons to explore in a dark setting, with some simple stories loosely suggested to the player. This one never got out of Japan but fortunately some fans translated it so this is the version I'm playing. The walkthrough covers all the special items (well, I noticed just now that I forgot to put the useless skull armor while I was editing the video, so it's not 100%), but some grinding and trips for minor (healing) items were cut so I could keep the longplay as short as posible (but don't worry as I'll go to where I initially was). As I think that you will get bored and lost easily I will tell you what I'm doing in each moment: PART 1 01:37-23:15 I find the Dragon's cup and put it in the Dragon's Temple so I can regenerate hp and mp in the fountain. I also met the clerk who asks me to find the stolen golden cross. 23:16-30:34 The merchant sells me the golden cross (for a very high price). And after that, I go back to the church so the clerk gives me a key which will open some doors on this map. 30:35-50:10 I deactivate the arrow trap and go to the next level 50:12-58:50 I go find the dungeon key, enter the dungeon and find the dragon staff 58:51- 01:17:57 I learn the water (healing) magic, pick up the earth and water crystals (useful in the next level) and truth mirror which I'll exchange for an harp that will led me to the next level. 01:18:00-01:40:00 I learn the fire magic and find wind and water crystals and put all of them in the pedestals so the paths and doors are opened. 01:40:01-End I take some not so useful items and find my way to the end of the level. PART 2 00:01-18:22 I find the Magician's key, which will open some doors and chests in every level of the game. 18:23-26:10 I find the the last weapon of the game, the floating boots and fight a boss. 26:11-30:46 I make one strange cut to get the moon charm (and the skull armor is near here) in the second level. After that, a little trip for a few items more. 30:47-36:12 I enter the last level and get the last weapon in its true form. 36:13-End I make a quick trip trough all the levels and find the ultimate helmet, armor and shield. And then of course, I beat the game! And to end with this I'd like to recommend you 2 webs. In the first one you will find all the maps so you can beat the game without many problems (I used them 100% of the time). The second web will give you some info about the NPCS that isn't covered in the game, but it's recommended to understand what's going on. http://www.kings-field.com/ http://www.angelfire.com/planet/kingsfield/characters.html Oh, and one last and very important thing. I'm thinking about doing a longplay of King's Field 2 (first one in USA) but I can't find any maps on Internet. So pleeeeease send me a link (to my deskawa channel) if there exists a site with the maps, as without them I'll hardly be able to keep the quality of this one you are watching now.

"The dragon of the forest will return" So basically, you're the Dragonborn?
-
Jesus Christ that text at the beginning goes by way too fast.
-
ladies and djents, the game that inspired "Demon/Dark souls", King's field.

Why some people call the first playstation PSX? PSX is a completely different console.

If you pay attention, you can see all the early concepts that ended up in Dark Souls, like when you swing, it uses power. That is pretty damn cool.

First time I played this I 'dropped' the Dragon Cup next to the fountain thinking it would place the cup in the fountain and activate it.
That was a fun way to discover that not even vital items are considered vital items. You can straight up destroy things you need to actually finish the game. -
this game looks like ass

"HE IS DEAD" O RLY?

I wish they made this new for the Oculus Rift
-
you had to check really good for hidden items like the ground and the wall items are hidden in the walls

one of the best games to play

Hey, it's Ultima Underworld!

It all started with this... now we have Dark Souls 3. Gaming sure has come a long way. All those people complaining about modern graphics clearly haven't grown up with old games like these. They have no idea how spoiled they are.

I never tasted Kings field but it must be a Precursor to Dark Souls

Huh, that Mite looking enemy at 4:15 looks like the firebugs in the latter stages of Stonefang Tunnel in Demons' Souls. I keep forgetting just how many enemies the King's Field and early Souls games reused!

Back then, I really loved the atmosphere this game had. Felt very mysterious and I couldn't wait to see what was around the corner. I forgot so much about this game, had to watch a long play..thanks.

Sure, this game may have aged HORRIBLY. But I don't know, it has a very, very, VERY misterious aura, and I love it. The feeling of being alone, and that nothing makes sense, not knowing anything that is around you. I love those eerie games, like this one, LSD: Dream Emulator... even Mario 64 has that feeling too sometimes. Please, if anyone feels the same way as me, please recommend me more games that fit my description, I need to know!
