Bahaha! I think I would prefer a few broken arms and props over a soft landing in the mud. Did you ever figure out what happened? Maybe it was an issue with your lipo battery?

If it was a failsafe, component placement is key with quads. And you need a tx\rx combo that supports an all channel failsafe. You should set your failsafe at the start and end of each flight.

Never balance my APC's just rigidly mount and use smooth motors is my fix.

humans seem to love mud baths but not sure about quads dont think they like it hope you get it sorted out but makes for a great video happy flying !!!!
