Is there a limit to how tall our buildings can get? A Saudi billionaire is hoping to build a mile high tower which would become the world's tallest building if construction plans go through. Prince Alwaleed bin Talal is currently checking out some of the world's largest cities for the location of this structure. New York, Moscow, and London were named as potential contenders. Bin Talal has asked Dubai's leading real estate developer to partner with his investment company called Kingdom Holding for the tower plans. Currently, Burj Khalifa holds the title for the World's Tallest Building. The impressive 160 story waterfront building in Dubai serves several purposes; hotel, retail office and residential space which are complimented by a park and a fitness center. However, Sky City, a 220-story tower may be taking the place of Burj Khalifa soon. It will reportedly stand 2,749 feet tall.
