A gunman left one person dead at Wayne Community College in North Carolina Monday morning. Law enforcement officials searched for “person of interest” Kenneth Stancil hours after the shooting, while the campus called for a lockdown. Witnesses described the at-large shooter as a 5’11” white male, with a goatee and a tattoo over his left eye. He was reportedly seen wearing a blue jacket and carrying a long rifle. In a press conference shortly before noon, Maj. Tom Effler said officials had photos of the shooter from security cameras. “This is an isolated situation,” Effer said. Effler said Stancil was a former student of the college. Effer also identified the victim as Ron Lane, who worked in the print shop on campus. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. team searched campus buildings room by room. They began escorting students and staff out of the buildings around 10:30 a.m. But by noon, officials said they suspected the gunman had moved off campus. ------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to TomoNews, where we animate the most entertaining news on the internets.
