Street prostitution, "pandering," and living off of the proceeds of a prostitute remain illegal under Nevada law, as elsewhere in the country. As with other countries, prostitution in the United States can be divided into three broad categories: street prostitution, brothel prostitution, and escort prostitution.

In this 21st century prostitution should be made legal already. Not every man wants the aggravation of a fucking relationship which, by the way, ends up to be, in most cases, more costly than just hiring a hooker. I forget which country did this but, it's brilliant! They made selling sex legal. However- they made BUYING sex & pimping & pandering (living off the proceeds of prostitution of another person) illegal. All the illegalities fell onto the johns & pimps. They offered help to the women that wanted out of the life & although prostitution & human trafficking wasn't wiped out, it was greatly decreased. In the US, we have special laws, programs & help for women from other countries who are trafficked here for the sex trade but not for the American girls, women & boys. Why the double standard? We need to do a much better job helping those who are being sold & tougher punishments for the people who are essentially buying a slave by the act or a set amount of time. It's NOT a victimless crime.
