Skydive is not as scary as it looks like.. if you want to know how it feels, read this experience. Note Number 1... listen to your instructor sincerely and follow as he says to have a good experience. The instructor explained the banana pose... i.e. he will be behind me and just when we jump out of the plane, we have to keep our hands on the chest straps and legs backwards like a banana bending backwards... this pose is natural but crucial for a proper jump and to help our instructor and not to have any surprises....its actually not a jump but a dive.. then... the toughest part we can imagine is jumping out of a running plane .... this actually is not at all an issue provided we blindly follow the instructor and place faith on him... the instructor will tie us in their lap like we keep a kid in our lap and tie belts tightly and make it appear like a single person.. We have to move towards the open door of the plane ..this will be a bit uneasy as 4 legs have to move together... and then we have to lean backwards on the shoulder of the instructor... this helps us not get afraid of the ground/height/jump ... when we rest our head on the instructor shoulder (with our knees bent in right angle, the flight door is a medium height door and we have to bend our knees to be in proper position to exit) , we just see the plane's roof at the door and the instructor jumps out a few seconds after the camera man jumps out.. you cant help keeping your mouth open after the jump and its part of the enjoyment ...feeling 'woow i jumped out of a plane' ..... but it helps the video if you shut your mouth.... You will be diving towards the ground for a few seconds without a drogue parachute (a small chute to slow the speed) and the instructor switches on the drogue parachute when he ensures that we are flat and not rolling.... this drogue will just manage the speed to some extent... but we ll be falling at 300+/- KMPH.... there is no problem with anything here.... the jump and the feeling in sky is not scary mainly because we know we are in the sky but we know someone is behind us !! the company of the instructor is an invisible support and strength that helps us feel safe ... there is a problem here particularly for people having cold/sinusitis etc symptoms.... the problem is that its definitely cold and with the speed of 300 KMPH its biting cold... this will be definitely painful unless you like winters without sweaters and blankets.... to avoid the pain i planned keeping ear plugs; if we keep ear plugs, it definitely helps... please note this... it definitely helps but the only possible problem is that we may not be able to hear the instructor when there is something important that he tries to speak out... this is why i kept my ear plugs in the pockets ... .but I would recommend you to wear those because i feel we can still hear the instructor with the plugs on as he is just few centimeters away from our ear.... that way, you will avoid major part of the cold trouble and enjoy the jump better... now time for poses to the camera man... all the above takes max 60 seconds out of the plane...and then the parachute is on...and when the parachute is on, sadly the photographer/cameraman is off.... when this main parachute is on, its very comfortable sail in the sky and you will enjoy this... actually this is comparable to parasailing and it doesnt have any adrenaline rush...but it will be a peaceful descent that you ll enjoy and relish.... like eating an icecream and feeling mmmmmmmmmmmmmm...... when landing, the instructor tells us the postion and we better follow it and there wont be a problem here...
