I feel like some teams do legitimately need a new stadium i.e. the Oakland Raiders and A's. Also sometimes building a stadium is beneficial. One example of the is San Francisco's AT&T Park. From what I heard, that area used to be a dump and now it's actually a pretty nice area.

He didn't even touch on the worst thing, high schools who built stadiums.

David Samson was on Survivor

And then add in how horribly they treat players and you have organized crime!

What if they're like me abd don't enjoy sports? Why do I have to pay for entertainment I don't enjoy?

So the US cannot have socialised medicine but can have socialised sports. I really think the US has its priorities fucked up.

It's stupid how people's hard earned money is considered to be owned by them, and their "right", and then tons of rules are put up, included dozens of taxes, and necessary public funding, whether or not those facilities are gonna be used by the people. It's like saying, "You made that donut, it's your's, but we're having a party, so you have to give it to us so that we can eat it....but really, it's your's." :P

Wait a second, they raised money so they can taser the mayor for charity? And the mayor agreed to that? And if he did, was he drunk while doing so? And how much money did they raise for what charity for the mayor to agree to that? And if he didn't, where was the police?

Buildings used for private businesses, like sports, should be used with money generated by those companies. their sales revenue should be their budget.
and, maybe politicians should just come right out and say it, "what would you rather use the money on, stadiums, hospitals, generating jobs, etc? it's your choice public, but since it's your choice, don't complain about it later." -
Way to go murica, you got no money for affordable healthcare, social justice, the IRS, 911, legal issues, affordable education, etc. etc., but the military and stadiums can get as much money as they want. Another point on the kilometer- I mean, miles long list of reasons the US are nothing but a laughingstock. I actually feel really bad for the sensible americans trapped with all those bible-banging insane retards.

Milwaukee bucks suck they should have just let them leave. The only reason to keep them is so you can watch better teams destroy the bucks.

My (Canadian) hometown fell for the "revitalized downtown" bullshit and paid out for what might the ugliest arena/stadium ever built. They also named it "The Ice District" which sounds hilariously like a gay bar for one of the bluest collar places in Canada.
