I disagree with Tom. I've played this game multiple times with different people and we all like it.
Tom must play it differently than we do. We put a lot of cards into the cups, so even if you reveal the three cards, you don't know (for sure) what is in them. Are you going to gamble on them or not? We also might seed the cup with tempting wine early so that someone bids on it and them stack it full of poison. Then you start having a meta, which totally fits with the theme of the game.
As far as the multiple winners and/or losers, it's never bothered anyone that we've played with. The game is also super short, so you can play a couple of rounds quickly. If it took forever, I can see being concerned about this aspect. As it is, we usually play it about three times in thirty minutes. -
Bummer. Amazing movie. Terrible that they couldn't come up with an amazing game around it.

When I initially read the description of this game, I thought "surely this won't be any good." And apparently I was right. Totally called it.

valuable=invaluable.

This game must have been designed by agents of Guilder.

"You made me play this game, prepare to die!"

"I HAVE played with people that have threatened me with violence for making them play such a game... And I can understand that."Dang. If it was somewhat dead, there might have been some hope. It would be pretty hard to revive this game now. If we can get a miracle pill for it, what kind of chocolate should we use for the coating?I'd prefer Buttercup's parents as characters. I love how they have a running tally of how many times they burn each other each day (this is from the book).

The movie was great. I would love if someone made a good game out of it. Now someone needs to say, "As you wish". :D

What a great idea for a game, I'm sad that it's terrible.

Another Princess Bride quick cash-in? Conceivable!

It makes me sad it isn't a good game. But thanks for taking one for the team Tom! I won't waste money on this.

Game is only 'mostly' dead. Not 'all the way' dead. Eh, hopes crushed, one of my top 5 movies of all time, would have loved if this worked. Guess I have to pass.

"Mostly dead". Nice.
