Van, Vanessa was obviously not a beauty, contrary to her sister in the movie. However, they could have spruced her up a little. Maybe not.

The music by Paul Golding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Off the scales!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love the music score in this movie so much, I watch it, just to hear the music. -
Thanks for the upload.

Maryam it's awesome that you've posted these films based on Cookson stories. I've always loved "one man against the world" type stories and I know now I like the same type stories about women showing great courage in dealing with tremendous obstacles as well.

I love period movies but not when the author consistently depicts women as prey, and having sex outside of marriage. There seems to be no decency about her characters no morals, shameful and sad that nowadays you cannot watch something tasteful and decent for the whole family or just an individual wanting something tasteful and classy to watch. I guess smut still sells!!!

One of my favorite Catherine Cookson novels and films.

what they did to the baby?? Anyone know?

The music score (at the very start, and when she was in the hospital) in this movie was mesmerizing, magnificent!!!!!

one of the best movies I have ever seen 😊

Wow I really loved that... especially the ending (: They didn't have to fit themselves into a world where they didn't belong, between the two of them they created their own world. I loved it.
