Being a fan of architecture, this building is one of the most amazing things I've seen. I wish I could visit. I know some people say Dubai is less than perfect, but I'd still love to visit. Have to ask, have you ever visited there, Kenny? Looks cool. Well anyways, thanks for your tribute to the worlds tallest building.

Crakizgood, you would be surprised. I just checked the average rainfall. Dubai receives about 6-7" on an average year. On a wet year Dubai receives 32-40" of rain fall. Look it up and see for yourself. The wettest areas in the UAE receive well over 30" on an average and over 100" of rain on a wet year. There appears to be no history of drought. The area's sandy geography keeps it a desert. The UAE in perspective on an average is far wetter & cooler year round than most areas in California.

Thanks Kenny.

Wickeddisadumbass, they do not get monsoon in Dubai because it's a coastal arid desert, not a sub tropical desert like the desert I live in, so they are fine. But even if they got lightning, I am sure they will have a proper rod to arrest it.
