Tom Cruise is ready for Mission Impossible 5, and all he really needs now is a writer and director, and a start date? Soooo, I guess you don't need me to say that this project is still in it's early stages, But what would a Mission Impossible be without Cruise as the part 5's leading man, Ethan Hunt, right? First things first. Deadline is reporting that Cruise will again be starring in and producing the film, which he's done in all of the past Mission Impossible movies. He will also be producing along side JJ Abrams' production company Bad Robot for a second time (Bad Robot also helped produced the very successful fourth installment) And Paramount and Skydance Productions will be co-financing the project. So, who do we think could helm this project? The last movie in the franchise, Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol, was directed by Brad Bird, and got really great responses from audiences, and actually made more money than any other Tom Cruise movie has before. That project had a budget of about $145 million but grossed nearly $700 million bucks. Not too shabby. But traditionally the Mission Impossible films hire different directors for each, so we doubt that Bird would be back, especially if you consider the fact that the he is will be busy until December 2014 with his sci-fi project, Tomorrowland. There is a rumor that the new director could be Christopher McQuarrie. McQuarrie might be a good fit for the project since he has worked with Cruise several times in the past, and most recenty on Jack Reacher in which McQuarrie wrote and directed. Now Jack Reacher didn't do as well as many had hoped at the box office, and the reviews were just okay, but perhaps Cruise fans would give the McQuarrie/Cruise duo another chance? Since we also have no script yet, there hasn't been any word on whether or not Jeremy Renner or Paula Patton will return as their characters from Ghost Protocol. So, there are still many questions left to be answered, but we want to know if you are ready for another mission? Do you think a fifth installment is really necessary after Ghost Protocol? And who else would you like to see take over writing or directing duties? Maybe someone know if there gonna be Mission: Impossible 6?
-
Ghost Protocol was the best of the best. I hope Brad Bird will take part of the realization of the MI5

Here is an idea. Get an actor who is educated so the plot will be more believable. Of course Cruise does not like science. He never studied it. Barely got out of high school.

I wrote my entire idea of the Mision Impossibe 5 on my FB. Check it out under my name and see if you like it. I think that for this one to work out and be a huge money making cash cow machie, it has to be DIFFERENT from the others. It has to AMAZE people. My idea on FB is a simple example. But I have many others if they want me t write this or suggest or help.I love Mision Impossible and I am a huge fan of Tom Cuise.

What are your ideas???

We need the sequel! Most sequels aren't to good, but I gotta say mission impossible 1 was worse than ghost protocol(which is one of my favorite movies)
-
id also personally prefer jj direct the next one , the look and theme of mi3 was superb of all of them , but i know they wont pick same directors

Tom is so smart, with the success of the past 4, and he knowing age will become a factor in the future hes capitalizing on his assets, talent, and time now etc. I know this may sound exaggerated, but not too many people end up in prestigious positions to fullfill there potential , but man . this dude is the epitome of a movie star who will die a legend.

i wish i could direct this film
